Cinemas and theatresUCI Tamworth: Carer admitted free. Disabled parking very close and wide bay. Area for chairs at back. Disabled toilet door heavy & probably will require carer to open. Reported to head office in 2003 but no action taken. Warner Village Star City: Concessions @ manager authority but here carer usually admitted free. Room for 2 wheelchairs per screen at the front and only 1 next to normal seats. Wrap up warm as some are positioned directly under air conditioning unit. Disabled parking close and wide bays. Disabled toilets easy to use and roomy. Symphony Hall: Excellent facilities, good view and concessions. Park in Cambridge Street.
HospitalsGood Hope Hospital's Richard Salt Unit: The disabled toilet adjacent to the cafe near the entrance is pretty useless. You need at least one other person to manipulate the doors which open against you; 2 people if someone has to push your chair.
Pubs and restaurantsThe Bowling Green, Lichfield: Parking bays difficult & use by non disabled not acted on. Main entrance matting "grabs" wheels. Correct entrance for wheelchairs is near the parking but often locked, not signposted & no indication on the inside for diners that the entrance may be used. Disabled toilet access controlled by Radar key available from behind the bar. Trent Valley, Lichfield: Entrance uneven & can catch wheel. Narrow disabled bays for parking. No disabled toilet. Reported 2003 but no plans to improve facilities.
