Updated 13/03/2007

Cases have arisen in Southern Europe (2003 Southern France, 2004 The Algarve) as well as the original reports in US and Canada. The risk is low and even when infected the risk of symptoms is low but anti-mosquito precautions apply as the virus is transmitted by mosquitoes.
