Besides information leaflets (see list), we have a patient library for loan of booklets, books, audio tapes and videos. The loan service is free but a refundable deposit may be required for some items.

Consumers Association Treatment Notes

The NHS has come to an arrangement with the Consumers Association for the electronic version of their Treatment Notes series to be made available to patients on line. See http://www.nelh.nhs.uk/treatmentnotes/ for details and http://www.nelh.nhs.uk/treatmentnotes/treatmentnotes.asp for a list of available notes.

The Family Doctor Books series is produced in association with the British Medical Association. These are not available through our library but can be purchased form local pharmacies. Alternatively, they can be purchased on line via www.familydoctor.co.uk . You can also preview sample chapters here. Whilst there is  a button to enable you to read the booklet online, it was not operating when last checked by Dr Causer.
