Telephone numbersThe Health Authority has upgraded the switchboard to one that you select a number to get to the required service. As we wish to maintain a personal service and have a staff member answer your call, we have been forced to change our phone number. Our number is (01543) 44 09 09. The Out Of Hours Call Centre number is 0300 1 30 30 30 - free call from BT landline. Please note that appointments cannot be booked, cancelled or changed by e-mail. For security reasons, there is no link from this system to the medical computer system which holds your personal details. We know you would prefer the medical system to be totally secure, private and confidential. The practice telephone number is 44 09 09. This number must be used when making appointments. At patients' request, we have removed the queuing system. If you hear the ringing tone do not hang up as you will be connected as soon as the receptionist has dealt with the call in front of you. Unlike other telephone systems where your call is answered by a recording only to be put on hold, you are not charged by your telephone company until your call is answered.
